Jody Stroud Completes Military GIS Training - Thursday, April 21, 2016

Morris P. Hebert, Inc. (MPH) is pleased to announce that Sr. GIS Technician Jody Stroud recently completed the Geospatial Engineer Advanced Leaders Course at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. The 13 week course is designed to develop Geospatial Engineers Non-Commission Officers to lead Soldiers who perform geospatial analysis in support of military and government operations. Specific areas of learning included the use of Spatial Analysis tools to analyze Remote Sensed Imagery, processing and manipulation of Remote Sensed and Hyperspectral Imagery, and production of 3-D visualization products. The training Mr. Stroud received will be utilized in the processing and development of Remote Sensing data collected using MPH’s new Trimble UX5 Unmanned Aerial System.

Mr. Stroud currently serves as a Staff Sergeant in the Louisiana National Guard and a former member of the United States Air Force. He holds a Master’s Degree in Geographical Information Technology from Northeastern University.
